Domino Magazine – Back Issues
I deciced to have a look at eBay today to see what back issues of Domino magazines were going for. Boy am I glad I have all my copies, looks like they are hot items on eBay! Well, they are well worth it. I’m still in shock that my favorite magazine is no longer… waiting for the last issue (March 2009) to hit newstands soon. I really wish we could do something to revive it, I know I’m in denial.
Here are those eBay listings, if you’ve missed an issue or looking to add to your collection, well here you go.

Cover Me Up – From Drab to Fab
I remembered seeing a while ago slipcovers for Ikea furniture. So began my journey to find affordable ways to either give new life to your existing Ikea furniture or add your designer touch to that favorite sofa or chair. I think I found the site I had read about a few years ago called Bemz. This is such a fabulous idea, I wish there was a Canadian or American company. But still, I think this is a great option. I have an Ikea couch myself (it’s actually own the same couch but in brown in the bottom left corner of the picture below) and really wishing it was black. I think it’s definitely on the list to do this year is to either change my couch (which is a bit costly as I want a more expensive couch), or go the slipcover option, which is more cost effective… which I’m leaning towards.
Here are some images I found on flickr to show options of others that have used Bemz . Bemz is a Swedish company that sells removable, washable slipcovers for sofas, armchairs and cushions. I really like that they have a large selection of fabrics to choose from. You can order samples to see what the fabric actually looks like. They show the preview of chair/sofa so you can see a picture of what the finished product would look like (I like this feature). As this company is in Sweden and is an internet only based company, thankfully they offer international shipping.

Another option is eBay. eBay is a great option to shop for slipcovers, especially those hard to find and discontinued items.
