I used to sew along time ago and have been wanting to start again and was looking for inspiration.  I was perusing google images and came across these wonderful patterns by Amy Butler.  And can you believe it, these designs are free!  My favorite is the snow mum pillow, this just might be something I might tackle myself.  She also has delightful patterns to spruce up your holiday decor, and by making these yourself will help the purse strings this Christmas season.

Adding decor objects to your home can either be an easy task or a hard one.  Personally, I like to take my time to find the right objects and for me, I like adding different kinds of Buddha sculptures around my home.  My apartment is decorated in mostly modern decor, but for some reason, I love adding Buddha objects,  I have 2 in the living room and one in the bathroom (in between my clear jar of q-tips and cotton swabs, all on a nice wooden tray I purchased from the kitchen department at Ikea).
