Burke Decor – Fab Sale and What’s New!

I went to see what the latest new products were over at BurkeDecor.com, one of my favorite online decor shops and found they are having a nice sale! Perfect! Now we can start the new year right and save some money at the same time!

Decorative Packing Tape

Hmmm… here’s a bright idea, decorative packing tape! Add a touch of style and glam to all your packing needs, why not! Also, have you ever thought to wrap your presents decorated with patterned tape! I remember a few years ago seeing lace patterned tape and luv that idea. But why not take it to the next level and wrap your gifts with something different. Here are some styles I found that I thought could get the creative juices flowing.

Sweet sweet day it is… it’s Tuesday today and the newest issue of Lonnyis out today! The August/September issue does not disappoint. There is something for everyone, from shabby chic to vintage with hints of in between.

My first stop was on page 25, I’ve been eyeing these purple and black lacquered boxes myself from the lille shop. These are on my Christmas wish list… I just may have to treat myself.

I used to sew along time ago and have been wanting to start again and was looking for inspiration. I was perusing google images and came across these wonderful patterns by Amy Butler. And can you believe it, these designs are free! My favorite is the snow mum pillow, this just might be something I might tackle myself. She also has delightful patterns to spruce up your holiday decor, and by making these yourself will help the purse strings this Christmas season.

Buddha Sculptures

Adding decor objects to your home can either be an easy task or a hard one. Personally, I like to take my time to find the right objects and for me, I like adding different kinds of Buddha sculptures around my home. My apartment is decorated in mostly modern decor, but for some reason, I love adding Buddha objects, I have 2 in the living room and one in the bathroom (in between my clear jar of q-tips and cotton swabs, all on a nice wooden tray I purchased from the kitchen department at Ikea).
