Ah, the lovely Arren Williams has shared his home with House & Home home tour video collection.  {This new series of videos from House & Home are really well done.}  I always enjoy watching Arren on the Cityline TV show.  He’s a talented stylist, designer and blogger.   This photo is a nice snapshot of what this video home tour has to offer.  What impressed me most is that there wasn’t too much color, simply well chosen pieces and just the right hits of color, pattern and texture.  The wallpaper choices are well done as they don’t take away from the rest of the decor, it all blends well together.

Sweet sweet day it is… it’s Tuesday today and the newest issue of Lonnyis out today!  The August/September issue does not disappoint.  There is something for everyone, from shabby chic to vintage with hints of in between.

My first stop was on page 25, I’ve been eyeing these purple and black lacquered boxes myself from the lille shop.  These are on my Christmas wish list… I just may have to treat myself.

I think I’ve found my online blogging decor bff’s, everything I’ve found on this blog I absolutely luv!!!   Holley & Gill is the blog name and they’re Canadian too, how lovely.  I discovered their blog via twitter the other day and it was instant blog luv.

From Art in Architecture, isn’t this beautiful.  It’s always been my dream to own a home similar to this with the garden in the middle, so very zen.

I think their post Are you practical in your style? is oh-so-clever.  Yes I’m one of those people who would buy something more for it’s beauty than it’s practicality.  If it adds that special something to my decor, I would definitely add it, whether it’s practical or not.  It’s the same thing as buying that gorgeous pair of shoes that make your outfit but may not be the most comfortable shoes to wear.

They also sell beautifully made head boards via their Etsy shop, displayed below is their headboard called  “Beaux Reves” in dark brown and ivory, it means “sweet dreams”.

That’s just a minuscule sample, there is so much more to discover.  I’ve added them to my official blogroll, this site is a definite keeper!

If you live in Canada and watch Cityline, especially Thursday “Home Day”, you’ve had the opportunity to see Brian Gluckstein in action.  This sleek dressed man has the most amazing interior design taste.  I always look forward to the segments showing his latest creations.  Some things are a bit on the traditional side for me (yes, I’m all modern all the time) but he just has that special quality in making homes so beautiful.

I was perusing his website this evening and found a few treasure I thougth I’d share.  First, I had no idea he was making videos!  I luv that he calls it GHTV (Gluckstein Home TV).  You can watch very informative videos such as “How to setup and style your outdoor space for entertaining”, perfect for the summer!  Another is called “How to Style Your Guest Bathroom”… you get the idea.  Stying ideas from a master all free and online, how sweet it is.

I stumbled upon this unique website call The Selby a few months back and I remembered they were putting together a new book {The Selby Is in Your Place (Hardcover)} and wanted to check it out.  I found a page full of sneak peak pictures and of course I was intrigued with the photos of Karl Lagerfeld’s studio photos in Paris.  What a treat!

Needing some inspiration to jazz up your dining room?  I need to do this myself and looking for inspiration.  I found these amazing photos on flickr and wow, now where do I start is the question.

I luv this one, especially the dark contrast of the background with the white furniture, lighting and decor.  I also like the playful hint of color with the red cups.

Ah, this picture shows the perfect way to mix different styles of old and new and giving a modern take.  I’m in love withe buffet, it has such a glamorous feel.  The art has a simplistic yet joyful tone to it, well done.

Don’t you just feel like sitting and staring at this room.  This is one of my favorites.  I enjoy the multiple art pieces in different shapes and frames, yet with a similar tone so not to over shadow each other.  I also noticed there is a lot of white between the photos, I think this gives it a clean look.

Bring out the color!  I’m not usually attracted to so much color all in one space, but this is a perfect example of doing color right.  It really makes you happy looking at the vibrant furniture.  The all white background plays the perfect role of the canvas in displaying the multitude of colorful accessories.

Well now I just need to start looking for a buffet, art, accessories… yikes, lots to do…

I found this photo perusing pictures on Flickr for inspiration and came across this lovely photo.  It’s so clean and simple and perfectly lovely.  I especially like the all white look with the hits of yellow/green accessories.  It feels fresh and clean as if the room photo depicts the smell of fresh cut grass.

I just saw another preview on TV for Sex and the City 2 and was wondering if anyone has found set design pictures?  So began my search and yes I found some, yay!  We all can’t wait till it opens on May 28!   I think I’ll have to see it a few times, the first for the actual movie, then second to take a closer look at the set decor and styling.

You must read Habitually Chic© blog post titled: Sex and the City 2: The Interior Design Review, Heather Clawson has done a fabulous job with photos and includes information about the actual items in the photos (well done!).

Every time I watch Gossip Girl, I drool over the set design and especially the art.  I simply had to do a little research and see what I could find.  I found the information at Apartment Therapy, of course, one of the best design resources online!   The set design is done by Christina Tonkin and she does an amazing job I must say.  According to the article, she has also done set design for Charlotte York’s Upper East Side apartment on Sex in the City.

I found this great book perusing a website Design Related (interesting site, you should check it out) called Marcel Wanders: Behind The Ceiling.  It’s amazing.  Here is the book’s description, it gives it a very clear vision of what this book has to offer:
