Mark your calendars folks! One of my favorite pillows from designer Trina Turk is going to be on sale at Joss & Main on Monday January 23, 2012! I know these are hot items and always sell out fast so I hope they have a nice handful of inventory so we can all relish in the savings and shopping for decor fun. I personally just love Joss & Main, I’ve already bought a gold toaster, a steam mop, a food dehydrator and some lovely coffee table books and more… I simply can’t get enough. They have such great products and the sale prices are really good.

I just received the lasted email from Joss & Main with a new curated sale: Traditional with a Twist by Sue De Chiara and the products are gorgeous… I think you’ll agree with me and the prices are really reasonable. {Trend} Pineapples and Horses

I know what you’re thinking… pineapples… horses… together? Who knew I’d ever put those two words side by side, and yet, they live and breath. I’ve really been noticing a lot of pineapples and horses in decor magazine trends lately. It’s different and there are many design options depending how you want to incorpoate this trend. I’m not one for “trends” per se, but I don’t mind sprinkling like items in my decor.

Pineapples

I first noticed this trend in the December 2010 Living Etc. magazine. This Meg Mathews Silver Pineapple Wallpaper is pretty interesting. I can see it in a tiny bathroom, talk about statement for your walls! And a great conversation starter if you’re brave and love pineapples! I can also image this wallpaper in that cottage in the woods kitchen, all white washed cupboards and this on the walls, talk about drama!

Here is some simple pineapple stationary, very tropical chic.

Horses

Of course, Thomas Paul always has amazing designs and I found this
Thomas Paul Imperial Horse Linen Pillow – Java from www.designpublic.com (one of my favorite online stores).

How about these horse pillows from another favorite store of mine, BurkeDecor.com, and all by Thomas Paul again (I think he has a thing for horses).

And what really started it all, my writing this post that is, is this cover of the December 2010 cover of Western Living, a Vancouver based design magazine. What a great way to add intrigue to design by adding the Moooi horse lamp, it caught my eye.

Trina Turk Pillows

Oh my, did I ever stumble upon some gorgeous pillows with beautiful patterns by Trina Turk.

The first is the Trina Turk Avenida Maze Pillows in pink, brown, orange and white. I found this from The Clayton Gray Home website. Instantly fell in love with the colors and geometric shape.

Then I found these lovely the Birdcage set of pillows.

My search continued and found this perfect pink pretty pillow, the Trina Turk Sun Burst Emblem Pillow from The Well Appointed House.

What a fabulous way to add color to your home decor.

Liberty of London and Target

So exciting! I was watching TV the other day and saw the ad for the new Liberty of London collection coming to Target starting March 14th! I so wish we had Target in Canada, but that’s okay, living in Vancouver, we are very close to the US border, I think a trip is definitely in order.
