{Set Decor} Sex and the City 2
I just saw another preview on TV for Sex and the City 2 and was wondering if anyone has found set design pictures? So began my search and yes I found some, yay! We all can’t wait till it opens on May 28! I think I’ll have to see it a few times, the first for the actual movie, then second to take a closer look at the set decor and styling.
I found these three pictures below from the lovely people at CasaSugar (check out their site, they have more pictures).

You must read Habitually Chic© blog post titled: Sex and the City 2: The Interior Design Review, Heather Clawson has done a fabulous job with photos and includes information about the actual items in the photos (well done!).

I totally agree with Heather’s comment about the books. Have a closer look, the table has an inset and instead of the books typically set down flat one on top of the other, they are styled standing up… so simple yet unique. Luv it!
Gossip Girl Set Design and Art Picks
Every time I watch Gossip Girl, I drool over the set design and especially the art. I simply had to do a little research and see what I could find. I found the information at Apartment Therapy, of course, one of the best design resources online! The set design is done by Christina Tonkin and she does an amazing job I must say. According to the article, she has also done set design for Charlotte York’s Upper East Side apartment on Sex in the City.
This is my favorite piece:

Gossip Girl - Spectrum 1998 by Richard Phillips

- Gossip Girl – Bass-Van der Woodsen New York apartment
I also really like the Prada Marfa Sign by Elmgreen & Dragset.

Here is another Richard Phillips piece called ‘Scout’.

As seen here in Chuck’s bedroom:

All of the above art can be purchased at the Art Production Fund website and at unbelievable reasonable prices… I just can’t decide which ones to purchase.

Carrie’s Apartment – Sex and the City Movie

I don’t know about you, but I just luv luv luv Carrie’s new apartment re-design in the new Sex and the City movie. I finally saw it last night and must say, well done! I just luved it. What I luved more is the shoes, the handbags, the closet!!! And of course, Carrie’s redeocorated apartment.
So, I’ve started my search for the ultimate, the paint color… I have a feeling this will be the new hot “it” color, it is pretty fantastic.

Rug
I luv the damask rug from The Rug Company, it’s quite stiking and really stands out.
