Bloomsbury & Co

The day I will visit London and shop the home decor stores will be a great day (or couple of weeks).  I was reading the latest issue of Elle Decoration UK (I so luv when my favorite magazines print such great issues).  This one had a page about home decor catalogues and I found this store called Bloomsbury & Co, it’s lovely… and of course I ordered one of their catalogues just to take a boo.  You can also see it here online.  Here are some of my favorite pages I found to give you a sense of the type of home decor products they carry.

I also think they did a beautiful job designing this catalogue!  Enjoy.

Liberty of London and Target

So exciting!  I was watching TV the other day and saw the ad for the new Liberty of London collection coming to Target starting March 14th!  I so wish we had Target in Canada, but that’s okay, living in Vancouver, we are very close to the US border, I think a trip is definitely in order.

Here is the commercial to give you a sneak peak at the lovely and amazing pattered products that will be available:

Here are some photos I found from: Apartment Therapy (check out their link, they have more photos).

Also check out Holly Becker from Decor8 discussing her favorites as well another sneak peak here from her Simply Stated blog.

Happy Shopping!

{Inspiration} Decorate Your Bookshelf

I believe everything has it’s place and everything can look beautifully decorated including a bookshelf.  I’ve seen so many times bookshelves that are full with books that are in disarray and junky… it doesn’t need to be this way.  I’m currently reorganizing my own bookshelf and was looking for inspiration… I do need to purchase a few objects to disperse I’m realizing.

A bookcase can be used to not only to house your favorite reads, but another opportunity for styling.

Here are some tips:

  • change it up a bit, change the stacking direction, some horizontal, some vertical
  • keep the size dimensions in the same piles, or largest to smallest
  • display your favorite finds, art, photos etc inbetween to add visual interest
  • paint or add wallpaper to the back of the bookshelf
  • organize smaller objects/papers/nick nacks in decorative boxes
