HGTV Magazine – Feb/March Issue – Hits Newstands January 17, 2012
Good news! It’s always nice to report good news… I just received an email from the fine PR folks at Hearst Magazine letting me know that the second issue of HGTV Magazine for Feb/March 2012 will be hitting the newsstands on January 17, 2012. Here is a sneak peek of the cover:
Color sure is taking over, bright blue and yellow are upfront on the cover. I love the headboard, and that gorgeous fabric, I wonder if it comes in other colors like pink or black!
Happy reading!

Ann Carrington Art Featured on Home by Novogratz
Hello everyone and Happy New Year!
I was watching Home by Novogratz last night and it was the episode of the store Babakul at Fred Segal. I’m quite a fan of Courtney and Robert Novogratz. What I like most about their designs is that they are unmistakeably different and always with an element (or two, or three) of surprise.
What struck me most about this particular episode was an art piece by Ann Carrington, it’s an amazing picture of Debbie Harry made of buttons… yes you heard right, buttons. That is just ingenuous and inventive in my book. The picture below is showing the art in the lounge/library area created specifically for the store, a perfect spot for the men to sit back, relax and read while the women shop.

So amazing don’t you think! There is more “button” art from Ann Carrington’s website and here are my favorites… these photos offer a nice closeup of each art piece to give you a sense of the detail and intricacy.
